Hi guys! I am excited to share with you all my experiences on how my hobby turned into a full-time business. I know many of us are searching for that great idea to become an entrepreneur but frankly there is no new idea only new ways of doing things. I discovered a lot of us have various talents which we forget can be monetized. Whether its painting, creating crafts, writing for fun, it too can become a job/ business.
I am a content creator and graphic designer partly because I have always been writing creatively as young as 5 years old. I can remember penning cute little letters for my parents and friends; creating stories then later on poetry. My love for art and literature stirred my interest leading to my exploration of books. Reading has became a part of my world forever; it was so bad that I would be reading a book in the middle of a conversation. The world of writing unfolded before my eyes through various authors I encountered.
Ultimately, my love for writing gave me opportunities in church, school and my community. Soon enough I was the go to person for stories, poetry, speeches, drama pieces and so on. Then it hit me I was really great at this, that's when I decided to become a writer and graphic designer. As soon as I started university (studying media and technology), I learnt more about designing in addition to gaining access to some cool software which help me to launch my business.

My hobby became a full-time business. It is so cool to get paid to do what you love! The greatest challenge was getting clients but after offering to do some work for free, my name got out there. People now recognized my talents and are willing to pay for my work. In my previous post, I talked about less being more; I might not get highlighted on a billboard as yet for my work but in my local area I am known and gradually my client base keeps growing.
As I have stated before, starting a business is never easy but I believe with passion and the right resources you can become a successful entrepreneur.
